To my Dear Blog Readers,
We will be tying the knot in a very intimate ceremony with only our immediate families and friends on Thursday! Patrick and I are so excited!!! I can barely sleep! It’s like waiting for Christmas Eve so you can open that BIG box under the tree—only 10,000 times more exciting!!!
I thought of keeping the date a secret but then I realized that I should share this BIG moment with all of you who have been praying with us and for us in the past few months. To all of my wonderful readers, people who we’ve never even met yet feel so connected to, THANK YOU for celebrating all these milestones with me and Patrick. Thanks for tolerating all my giddy posts and for sharing the joy in our kababawan! I’ll admit there were times when I felt like holding back but then I thought, these things will only happen ONCE in my life..and the whole point of my blogging is to celebrate God’s faithfulness in my life (big and small)! I will read these blog entries 10 years from now and laugh at how silly and shallow I once was, hopefully it will be a happy reminder for me!
When I started this blog eons ago, I thought it was simply a way for me to keep in touch with old friends and family members—never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that this blog would be a way for me to build a community of like minded people. I am just so thankful that I’m able to meet new people through this blog and share my simple life experiences with all of you! Your emails, comments, and tweets have been so inspiring. After a long and stressful day of work, I just read all your emails as a way to detox. Thank you for all your encouragement, guys. You just don’t know how much you’ve blessed me with your kind words!
I would also like to take this time to honor Patrick. When we got engaged, we barely had any money but we knew it was God’s will for us to get married this year so we just trusted that God would provide—and he DID. We worked hard everyday, accepting jobs left and right. We made adjustments and simplified our lifestyle. Kayod kabayo talaga kaming dalawa (even more for Patrick!). But our sacrifices and hard work definitely paid off and God was faithful to provide—even exceeding our expectations! In a span of 10 months, God blessed us enough to be able to start a new company, renovate and fully furnish our condo, plan and pay for a wedding! Any average guy in his 20s would have totally freaked out given all these responsibilities overnight, but Patrick was cool as a cucumber from Day One. I am so proud of you Patrick, thank you for taking care of me 🙂
This is it guys, I’m getting hitched!!!!
