airbnb: PARIS

Since it was close to impossible for my sister (and her family) to fly home to Manila for the holidays (with her giant 7 month baby bump!), we decided to bring the Pinoy celebration to her instead. So Patrick and I, along with my folks, flew to Paris last Dec 19 to be with Cesco, Daniela, and Stefano (and the in laws, Laura&Daniele too!). Hotels in Paris are crazy expensive and they sky-rocket to exorbitant prices during the holidays, so booking a hotel was out of the question for this particular trip. We knew that the best way to get more bang for our buck was to book via www.airbnb.com, my trusted site for short term vacation rentals.

We chose this apartment because it was located just a block away from my sister’s flat, making it super convenient for us (especially for my parents who were the official babysitters of Cesco) to visit them everyday. This property is in the posh and very safe neighborhood of Neuilly Sur Seine, just outside of the hustle and bustle of Paris. It’s a quick metro ride to the main attractions so it’s a pretty convenient base for people who want to do some sightseeing during the day but would prefer to stay in a family-friendly area. The apartment was spacious enough for the 4 of us, with 2 bedrooms and a nice bathroom. It also had a TV, free wifi, and a full functioning kitchen allowing us to save as we were cooking most of our meals instead of eating out all the time. The apartment was cozy and clean with eclectic interiors which I really liked A LOT! You can click HERE to view the property.

I’ve been airbnb-ing (yes, I just coined the term!) for as long as I can remember, I’ve used this site for trips to Hong Kong, New York, Barcelona and I was more than happy to book through them again this year. Oh and www.pattylaurel.com is actually now officially a partner site of AIRBNB!!! How cool is that?!?! So expect to see more AIRBNB trips on the blog this 2015! 🙂 🙂 And because I wanna share the good vibes and encourage you all to go on more adventures, I’m giving a special discount to my readers! Just click HERE to book and get an instant price cut on your next vacation! And when you do go on that wonderful airbnb vacay, be sure to add the hashtag #belonganywhere!

  1. Can’t help but notice the video! I simply loved how it was shot and edited with not much special effects. Seems like a real TV ad! It is, to me, very professional. ♥

  2. Hi Pattie,

The flat looks great. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I hope I can use AIRBNB too when I travel in the future. Thanks.

  3. Beautiful apartment! I’ve never tried airbnb before but I hope I can try them soon enough 🙂 I also loved the apartment you posted in your NYC blog posts!

Oh and just curious, when you applied for the schengen visa, did they allow airbnb flat rentals as accommodations or did you put your sister’s residence? 🙂

  4. Hi. I tried to press the link but I dont see any coupon code that I could use. Is this expired already? I really would like to try airbnb, but it would be nice if I also get a discount. Thanks.
