I love walls. For a small space, it’s liberating to have a blank canvas to work with. We have a few walls in our loft and I’ve been obsessing over them these past few days. My desktop is cluttered with screen shots of all these awesome wall decorating ideas from the net. From smart shelving panels to giant art pieces, there are millions of possibilities when it comes to wall decorating! My thoughts are all over the place at this point but one thing’s for sure, I would like to have a wall dedicated to our most precious photographs and art pieces. Here are some tastefully decorated walls that have inspired me.

Last year, I discovered My Wooden Canvas and decided to have a photograph immortalized through wood for my parents’ wedding anniversary. I chose their favorite Santorini photo for this piece and it came out beautiful! Aside from it being unique, having your photos imprinted on wood proves to be more durable and longer-lasting. The prints are 3/4 inch thick, water proof, lead free and UV resistant. You can expect the wood grain effect to show in all your prints, giving it a very earthy vibe. “We use plywood since it shows remarkable resistance even after exposure to the elements. It can stand against heat, humid air, even rainwater (just not extended soaks) and still retain its shape. That could be a sign of a tremendous will to live or just all-around general material strength. Either way, this makes sure your photos won’t shrink, crack, or twist and warp on you so you can mosey on your merry way everyday without having to worry about your photos and artwork getting spoiled.”
Their service is pretty straightforward and easy breezy. All you have to do is select the photograph you’d like to use (JPG, PNG, GIF, PSD, AI and TIFF) and send it via email with your preferred size. It takes roughly 10 working days to process your order. You can opt to pick up the finished product at their store in Cubao Expo or they can ship it straight to your home. They can even ship it overseas if you’d like to give it as a gift to your loved ones abroad! If you’d like to have wooden prints for your wedding, this can also be arranged.
Their rates are not crazy expensive which makes them perfect to give as gifts! You can have a canvas made for only Php 650, not bad at all. They have different sizes each with a corresponding price and you can also avail of their special packages to save some moolah.
I just recently paid their website a visit and I was thrilled to see that they now offer a service for wall murals!!! PERFECT!!! Exactly what I need for our loft!:) They have several layout and size options for you to choose from–so you just simply pick the one that suits your space and order away. I’m still at the process of gathering photographs that I’d like to use for our mural, it’s so hard to narrow it down! hahaha 🙂 I can’t wait to reveal our “special wall” in the coming months! I promise to give you guys first dibs! So there, whether it’s an entire wall you’d like to decorate or if you’d just like to have one special piece on your night stand..I’m sure you’ll find something at My Wooden Canvas.
