Eat, Drink, and Be Married: Episode 2

TADAH!! Here’s the second installment of our online series, EAT DRINK AND BE MARRIED with me, Kelly Misa-Fernandez and Nicole Hernandez-De Los Angeles. This was also shot while Kelly and I were preggers, hehe! In this episode, we share a bit of our insights on being single πŸ™‚ Hope you guys like it too!

NOTE: We are still on a KILIG high with all the positive feedback that we’ve been getting from all of you regarding our first episode! If I may be completely honest with you, we started this pet project with just the simple intention of creating feel good and enriching content—so to receive a wave of good reviews was really such a HUGE bonus! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for appreciating our efforts!!! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ And thanks for sending your suggestions too. We initially planned to just work with 5 episodes for now but with your encouragement, we are working double time with our team to come up with even more episodes in the future…so keep the feedback coming, girls. We really love hearing from YOU! We hope you can show some love by also sharing our links to your friends so we can rally more women to join us! Thanks again πŸ™‚

  1. Another great video ladies! Such good advice regarding relationships, money, and being single.

Totally agree with Nicole. She made a great point about not everyone is lucky to find the perfect match on the first try and one shouldn’t stay in a wrong/unmatched relationship hoping the other person would change and become a perfect match for them. Some people take time to find the one, and so dating guys/girls until you find your perfect match is a wise move.

Keep the videos coming ladies. Looking forward to the next one!

  2. Your videos remind me of my girl friends. πŸ™‚ Following you guys on social media makes me think your lives are perfect, but discussing your flaws in these episodes makes you guys human. More relatable topics please. πŸ™‚

  3. Homay.. I’m always caught off-guard when the episode ends and i’m left with a feeling like “huwat? Can’t this be any longer?!” Haha because your episodes are so insightful and fun to watch and listen to! I think you girls can do this all your lives and i’m gonna watch the episodes all my life! Hahaha Great job!

  4. Patty, it was so funny when you mentioned that when you were single, you get to eat what you want. I think that’s what I’m doing now. Hihi.

I love this episode in the sense that it speaks right through me. Ha! It’s good to hear that the experiences all single ladies have may be different but not really far from each other and the lessons you learned from before are things a lot of us can learn from in our time.

Really looking forward to the next episodes!

  5. You girls were really having fun. Thank you for the good advice about finding the right man. This episode will be a great help to all the single ladies. supeeeerrrr YES to travel a lot. ^_^

  6. You girls were really having fun, it makes me happy as well. Thank you for the good advice about finding the right man. This episode is a great help to all the single ladies. Supeeeerrrr YES to travel a looooot. ^_^ :* Sending warm hugs and love.

  7. Hi Patty!

This little project is like a breathe of fresh air online (especially when our social media has been way too flooded with bashing, twitter wars, online shaming) But anyway, I loved how you girls kept it very organic. Sure, we’ve had our fair share of all-women talk show on the TV but most seemed too rehearsed or scripted, some a little bit alienating even.
But this one is like as real as it gets. It’s like getting invited to a sleepover/ brunch with ladies who I used to just see in the pages of teen magazines or (fast forward to now) blogs and IG I follow. hehe Thanks for “letting us in” your little barkada. πŸ™‚ More episodes please!

p.s Nicole is indeed so funny!

  8. Hi Patty!

So happy you guys are doing this. Really, really insightful. Looking forward to more episodes on being a mom! I’m a new mom too so I want to hear more from you on how you guys are coping with your kids, in laws, etc. Also about handling finances too!

Looking forward to more episodes. Been following you on IG and Twitter. Haha. #lifepeg

    • Glad to know I’m not the only one who things that 5min is not enough. 15-30 min would be awesome cause I can seriously watch the three of you ladies without getting bored. I noticed that I smile the whole time I’m watching your videos. Can’t wait for the next video πŸ™‚

  9. The topic gets more interesting! I was going to suggest exactly what you guys talked about since I have very few years left to indulge in singlehood. A little over five minutes of this episode is enough to make me scream for more πŸ™‚

  10. Gaaaaaaaah! I love everything about this show! It’s a how right? lol anyway, I didn’t much relate to the 1st episode cos am single but i find it insightful. But this episode is the bomb! haha! Everything that you guys said are really helpful. Like what I said, am single and am 26 already. Turning 27 in 4 months. I haven’t dated anyone in the past 2 years but yea, am OK πŸ™‚ I am employed in a private company, I have an online business, planning to open another one 1stQ of the next year. Those things keep me busy and fulfilled. My only protest is, I hope the episodes are longer πŸ™‚ More power!

  11. Make the videos longer! Hahaha demanding! You are all so beautiful!!! I watched it twice coz the first time I just stared at you all haha!

  12. Hi girls!!! I’ve read all your comments and they all made me smile! Nic and Kelly appreciate your feedback too!

We wanted to keep things light, compact and easy to digest–hence the short episodes. But yes, we will try our best to make the next batch a teeny bit longer. hehehe!!! Thanks for all your kind words!!

  13. You ladies are amazing! More videos PLEASE!!! First-time moms like me will really pick a thing or two from all three of u. From my teenage years up to now, I admire ladies like u who are living with passion & enjoying life with purpose. Continue to inspire us all…πŸ˜„

  14. Hi Patty!

I am always looking forward to reading your blog and now to watch the series of EAT, DRINK and be MARRIED episodes! It helps me reflect and it empowers me as a woman, a wife and a soon-to-be mom.

I agree with what the 3 of you said, that during your single days you should explore. One thing that I would want to tell my single self is ‘Thanks for taking the risk of leaving your comfort zone’. It helped me grow spiritually, mentally, financially and emotionally. So girls, while you are still single— Enjoy and let God lead your way! =)

I am looking forward to more amazing episodes! Keep inspiring! =)
