Eeeeeekkkk. The countdown to our wedding date is drawing nearer and nearer and I am nowhere near my ideal sexy bride bodehhhhh!!! Patay tayo diyan!! Patrick says I don’t need to change a thing (phew, what a relief!) so the pressure is actually on me, by me. It’s not that I need to be a size 0 bride, I want to be a HEALTHY bride and wife. More than a small waist line, I’m actually hoping for that radiant bridal glow–which can only come from being emotionally happy, spiritually calm and physically fit. I’ve got the two things covered (so far, so good) so it’s just the physically fit that needs work. I signed up for a Barre 3 class last week and tried it once–it was HAAAAARDDDD because I had to use muscles that I never used in years. Parang bigla silang nabulabog, like someone hit a gong while they were sleeping peacefully. My body ached and burned in all these secret places the following day but in a good way. Hopefully, I become more disciplined to go regularly. Must.be.healthy!!!!! LESDOOODIS.
According to The Spa which offers Barre3 classes in Manila, “Barre3 is a revolutionary class that combines the grace of the ballet barre, the wisdom of yoga and the strength of Pilates. Set to music, this transformative 60-minute ballet barre workout improves balance, increases flexibility and enhances strength. Every second in this workout counts for fast body shaping results and long term postural benefits. Created by fitness expert Sadie Lincoln, barre3 was borne out of her 20 years of teaching numerous exercise platforms. Sadie created this transformative class by combining the best of ballet barre work, yoga and Pilates into a unique sequence designed to balance the body. The 3 in Barre3 is a symbol of balance, our core essence. Balance in the body, in the mind and in life. Barre3 enthusiasts include yoga practitioners, pilates aficionados, dancers, athletes, or any beginners with a passion for good health. It is for men and women alike.” For schedules and locations, click here.
As you already know by now, I’ve been tying up with Juju Cleanse on several occasions. I’ve been recommending this to my friends and family members for almost a year now. Although weight loss can be an added bonus for some, the Juju Cleanse is actually more geared towards removing harmful toxins in your body. Think of it as giving your body a tune up. If you like eating junk foods (guilty!!!) then this is something you should do at least once a month to just cleanse your system. It’s like restarting your engine and giving your body a break from all the icky stuff.
