Inspired by the famous Tsukiji market in Tokyo, Ichiba Japanese Market is the first of its kind in Manila–and in the country! This seafood restaurant serves only the freshest catch, with about 60 percent straight from Japan. Majority of the ingredients for their dishes are flown in from the land of the rising sun just for Pinoy diners to enjoy. The prices are quite good considering the quality of ingredients you’re getting in each dish.
I visited this concept restaurant with my girls, Cat Juan Ledesma and Mari Henud, last week and we have nothing but raves! We had all our Japanese favorites from Takoyaki Balls, Tempura, Gyudon, Sushi, Takoyaki, Gyoza, Ramen, and even a huge serving of the freshest lobster I’ve ever had! We were stuffed!!! If you love Japanese food just as much as I do then you’ll go crazy at Ichiba. Ichiba is located on the 2nd floor of Newport Mall in the Resorts World complex.
