Le Jardin

A few Saturdays ago, my husband and I dined at Le Jardin in The Fort. I’ve actually read reviews about it in the past so I was eager to try it for a proper date night. You all know I’m not really a great food blogger—I’m just a person who happens to like food and who also happens to run a blog. So..well..umm.. that hardly makes me an expert, Hahaha! But just because I like sharing my experiences, I’m giving you guys another quickie rundown review for today.

I love Paris..and I love MANILA! So having PARIS in MANILA just seems like the perfect combo for me. Le Jardin takes you to France via airplane  elevator all the way to the top of the W Building. The interiors are very French with high ceilings, pretty details and flowers everywhere.

I’m glad that more and more restaurants are including proper degustations into their menus. We ordered the 4 course degustation and it was already very filling. For starters, I had the Poached Lobster Salad and Seared Scallops with Truffled Mashed Potatoes (I LOVED THIS!!!) while Patrick had the Fish Soup and Salmon. For our main course, Patrick opted for the famous Beef Cheeks with Foie Gras and I got the Medium-Well Steak with Foie Gras also. The Beef Cheeks were very soft, melted perfectly in my mouth. And of course, the dessert!!!! I had the chocolate lava cake which did not disappoint but Patrick bagged the winner—Gil’s dessert, hayyyy, you have got to order this!

In between courses, we were also treated to a yummy platter featuring their own homemade cheese and also a variety of wines (which they import from France, of course!). For the wine and cheese alone, you should trek to Le Jardin to impress your date!

Located at the Penthouse of the W Building in Bonifacio Global City (next to Black Sheep), this French restaurant has stunning views of the Fort skyline. We dined on a rainy Saturday night and it was spectacular–although, I hear it’s equally charming during the day when the sun shines through their big glass windows. Maybe I should schedule a brunch with my girlfriends here soon!

If you make reservations in advance (0917 8176584), they can allot a parking slot for you inside the W Building which makes it all the more convenient (especially in this crazy weather!). I guess it’s an added perk since the resto of course is a bit pricey 🙂 Although they’re quite flexible when it comes to clothing restrictions, you’d still want to dress up a bit for Le Jardin just because it’s so darn pretty! Having an assigned parking slot not only means convenience for the guys, it also means the ladies can put on sky high heels and not worry about puddles. Win-win for all.

So there, those are my quick 5 reasons why you should try Le Jardin 🙂 Oh and yeah, here are our photos too! Hihihihi! Thanks again to the kind staff of Le Jardin!

Hi patty! This blog post made my mouth water! I love how you and your hubby are making the most of your time together, just the two of you! I’m a newbie mom and as much as I love my new role as a mom, I also miss traveling and trying out restaurants with hubby. As cliche as this may sound, just savor this time of your life because it will really be different when babies come. A good kind of different! I’m excited to see your mommy blog posts when the time comes. God’s timing is always perfect! Sorry for this long post. I wanna try this place with hubby sana. May I know how much to set aside if ever we go here? Kahit range lang! Thanks so much! Hope to hear from you!
