My June Eating Plan

Believe it or not, I gained 8 frigging pounds from my European eats-capade! Gaaaaah! 8 pounds is A LOT for my small 5’3 frame. Eh kasi naman kasalanan ko talaga, I went on a pastry spree in Paris! Hahaha! I couldn’t help it, I love to eat and whenever I’m on holiday I just go completely wild with my food intake. Please do not follow me 🙁 Huhuhu!

Thankfully, I’ve mastered the art of camouflage dressing to mask the chubby bits so it’s not that obvious (or so I think). But I’ve been feeling weak and sluggish lately and I desperately want to get back in shape. More than the weight loss, I really crave for that feeling of being in tip-top form with a STRONG body (not skinny!) and a SHARP mind. I find that when I eat healthier and exercise more often, I become more productive at work, always in a good mood (bonus for my husband!), and just generally happier. 

I’ve enlisted the help of I-CHEF Foods to help me eat healthier in the coming days. I’ve set aside a budget for it because I really want to be purposeful about my eating habits. I’m not really good with diets, it just doesn’t work for me since I’m a real foodie. So this program is ideal because I get to eat tasty and REAL food with healthier ingredients and in healthier portions of course. If I had the luxury of time, I would definitely prepare all my meals from scratch but the reality is I’m a working girl with a weird, I-don’t-know-how-my-day-will-pan-out kind of schedule so this makes much more sense for me now in this phase of my life. I get 3 main meals and snacks in between so it keeps me full throughout the day. At masarap talaga siya at di nakakasawa 🙂 I plan to do this for the next 3 weeks—with some cheat days in between when I have to go out for some social get togethers and work related meetings. I need to have a life so I don’t want to be strict about it. The goal is to try to eat as healthy as I can and treat myself to some indulgences from time to time 🙂
