My New Potluck Discovery

“Wow Patty!!!! Akala ko simpleng merienda lang????? May Crispy Pata at Lechón Kawali ka pa?! Ano to restaurant?!?!” –My childhood friends Stella and Sheila teased as soon as I lay down my potluck “toka” on the table when we had our post-Christmas get together. Of course I had a huge grin on my face because I was so pleased with myself—YESSSS!!!! Patty stepping up this year guys, a huge upgrade from bringing chips and dip! HAHAHA!

If you know me well, I’m a lover of all things convenient! I guess as a working mom (and a preggo one at that), I’ve just come to terms with the fact that I can’t be a superwoman all the time and there are just some things I need to simplify in my life. So when I came across the Purefoods Heat and Eat packs in the grocery( they are usually found in the Native Section of leading supermarkets and also in Monterey Meatshops)—I knew this would be a winner for me. And true enough, it did not disappoint! I was able to serve my guests restaurant quality comfort food with just 10-20 minutes prep time! Both variants are already fully cooked and ready to consume, so you basically just reheat it via Turbo or Pan Fry and serve. Available in Crispy Pata and Lechon Kawali affordably priced at Php 230.00 (for Lechon Kawali at 425g per bag) and Php 325.00 (for Crispy Pata at 900g per bag).

Pair this with a special ensalada with tomatoes, onions and peppers, some atsara and lechon sauce on the side and you’re more than set! It worked well at yesterday’s gathering with my gradeschool friends, I decided to do a take two for today’s dinner with my in laws. I got the same shocked reaction from my sisters in law! At least I know what I can prepare for New Years and for all future reunions and potluck gatherings! 🙂 Follow them on Facebook and Instagram:Facebook.com/PurefoodsHeatandEat and Instagram.com/PurefoodsHeatandEat
