Singapore Day 5

Great news!!! The SG haze has subsided and we were able to see the blue sky in its full glory today! And we didn’t have to don those icky masks anymore–alleluia! It was totally cramping my style! Hahaha 🙂 But I really am happy for the people of Singapore, now they can slowly return to their normal routine and enjoy their crisp, fresh air again.

Patrick’s whole weekend will be booked for all the work-related technical trainings and workshops so I told my two Singapore based loves to keep their weekend free to keep ME company! I’m so glad I was able to spend time with my cousin Mia and my former co-teacher Dana. They’ve been based in Singapore for a couple of years now and have been thriving so well in their respective industries. It was wonderful to hear their life stories—they have successful and fulfilling careers, a close knit group of friends, and an overall very positive outlook towards their new home away from home. It’s amazing to see how God is working through these two young proudly Pinoy women in SG.

For brunch, we took a leisurely 5 minute walk to Club Street Social. This little resto is a favorite among expats and though I’m not an expat, it satisfied the tragically westernized Pinoy in me. I had the panini with prosciutto, mozarella and truffle mayo and for a very simple sandwich it was fantabulous!!!! The panini with ham, egg and maple syrup was divine too 🙂 After brunch, Pat headed to work and the girls and I took the MRT to Marina Bay Sands and checked out the Mummy exhibit at the Art Science Museum. And because I get grumpy when I’m hungry, the girls took me to a local Mexican joint to get my fill of quesadillas 🙂 It was an easy and relaxing day with my two favorite girls!
