The Four Eyes Movement

Last Saturday, I was fortunate enough to spend time with the wonderful people of Baranggay Sto. Nino in Dasmarinas, Cavite , World Vision Philippines and Four Eyes. It felt like Christmas in June because it was Distribution Day, the day that the community would receive their much-awaited prescription glasses. Over a month ago, World Vision and Four Eyes conducted a special one-on-one consultation and FREE eye check ups for 250 residents suffering from poor vision (both kids and adults!) so last Saturday was the day finally received the gift of better sight.

It’s amazing how a pair of glasses can change one’s life for the better. The immediate results are just fascinating! It’ll allow kids to read their books better thus causing them to get a better education. Oh and no need for them to squint just to properly understand the teacher’s writings on the wall! For adults, it’ll relieve them of headaches and migraines brought about by strained and tired eyes, it’ll also allow them to read and see better—making them more efficient in the workplace and appreciative of their surroundings. The list of benefits is endless and it’s all because of just one little gift—a decent, sturdy, and properly graded pair of glasses.
So how can you become part of this movement???? It’s very simple really, and it’s a WIN-WIN for all. You get to help a person in need while getting a new pair of stylish glasses for yourself. Remember, it’s a PAIR for a PAIR movement so do the math. The more pairs you get (or convince your friends to get), the more pairs will be given to others! Just visit the website www.foureyes.com.ph to get started on this mission.
Instead of putting up a physical store (which means a lot of costs for rent, overhead, maintenance), FOUR EYES came up with a HOME TRY ON KIT which allows them to bring the “fitting” experience straight to your home. This way, they make it super convenient for the customer (no need to go to the mall!) and also they can allot the money saved to helping more and more people in the Philippines. I ordered online for me and Patrick and it was very easy. I picked 3 styles (each for me and Pat) and then we chose 1 style that we liked best, placed the sticker provided on it to mark it, and then someone picked it up from our home. The glasses with the proper prescription arrived after a few days 🙂 Super hassle free!!! And I really like the styles too, I think I’ll get another pair next week! Oh and if you have been blessed with 20-20 vision, you can still be part of this movement by purchasing their sunglasses instead. For every pair of sunnies, a pair of prescription glasses will be granted to a special recipient. I really would like to encourage all my readers to participate in this great initiative, it requires just a little effort on your part and yet so many lives will be changed for the better 🙂
