Travel Tuesday: New York, New York

I’ve only been to New York once in my life. (Well technically twice but I was 4 months old. So let’s make it once.) It was 4 years ago, spring of 2008. I spent the whole month with my bestie Alessa and we had such a memorable NYC experience! It’s definitely one of those places you dream of traveling back to again and again!! It’s one of my favorite cities in the world!
There will always be a loser poser photo in your arsenal–no matter how cool you think you are–there will always be at least 5 photos that are sooooo bad, they’re good. Eto yung sa akin. WHAT THE HECK AM I TRYING TO DO?! Ok, to somehow justify this photo..we were at the Kanye West-Rihanna-Chris Brown-NERD concert and we were totally feeling cool that evening! So this is what happened. I know, I know. It’s sad, but true.
This time with our hoodies, for extra gangsta effect. CANT YOU SEE WE’RE SOOOO BAD ASSSS. And I don’t get why I kept doing that puckered lip thingy—it’s not as if thugs do the duck face! Man, I was obviously trying TOO hard! Props to Alessa for keeping it like a real homeboy though. Astig lang daw. hahaha 🙂
Overwhelmed by all the desserts in the famous Serendipity Cafe.
 Connecting with the NYC-Manila Crew.
One of my favorites at the MOMA.

It’s no secret that NYC is an expensive city to visit if you’re a tourist. If you’re planning a trip with the whole family or a group of friends and you don’t have any relatives to bunk with, I suggest pitching in for an apartment instead. New York hotels have sky high prices (it’s insane how expensive an overnight stay costs!) so getting a flat might be a more convenient and affordable way to explore the city. Here are some huge Roomorama flats that can accommodate big groups in NYC! It’s a bit of a splurge (trust me, Im kuripot) but there’s just so much to do, so much to eat, so much to see in New York–it’ll be worth every penny. Traveling to NYC is actually an investment for your soul!
